Apollo Tyres has extended its role as the official tire partner of the 1000 Miglia classic car rally in Italy. The renewed agreement will see the company’s Vredestein brand promoted at the rally through to its centenary celebration in 2027.
This year’s 41st edition of the 1000 Miglia will see more than 300 vintage vehicles travelling the 1,000-mile route from Brescia to Rome and back on June 17–21. Celebrated as ‘La corsa più bella del mondo’ (the most beautiful race in the world), the rally combines competitive endurance driving with cultural and architectural highlights. To participate, each car must have been manufactured before December 31, 1957, and be of a make that competed in the original 1000 Miglia races between 1927 and 1957.
Alongside the announcement, Apollo Tyres has also confirmed that former Formula 1 star and three-time Grand Prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella will continue as Vredestein brand ambassador until at least August 2026. Since joining in 2024, Fisichella has contributed to the testing and development of the Vredestein tires, including the Ultrac Pro. Fisichella will compete in this year’s 1000 Miglia, driving a Fiat 1100/103 TV Berlina equipped with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires.
In addition to the 1000 Miglia event, the contract will see Vredestein featured at both the Coppa delle Alpi and the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy.
“Now in our eighth year, we are proud to extend our partnership with the 1000 Miglia – an event that celebrates automotive heritage like no other,” said Yves Pouliquen, vice president commercial EMEA at Apollo Tyres.
“Our Vredestein Classic range is engineered for connoisseurs who demand both style and performance, and there is no better stage to showcase this on than the world’s most beautiful race.”
