Manufacturer Bridgestone has announced it will invest approximately JP¥1.7bn (US$12.6m) in its Nasu plant in Japan to increase its motorcycle tire production capacity by roughly 90,000 units, starting in 2026.

Having supported motorcycle OEMs with the Bridgestone Battlax tire portfolio, as well as refining designs and technologies through participation in MotoGP and the FIM World Endurance Championship, the manufacturer is now looking to strengthen its motorcycle racing tires.

In addition to working to increase production capacity, technologies fostered through Bridgestone’s motorsport involvement will be introduced at the Nasu plant. By doing so, the tire maker seeks to accelerate the sales of its Battlax tire range.
