The tire maker is already the exclusive supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship, as well as several national and international championships.</p>
<p>“Throughout 2027, 2028 and 2029, tires for the RC2, RC3 and RC4 classes in the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship will be supplied exclusively by Hankook,&#8221; said Xavier Schene, director general of RACB Sport.</p>
<p>&#8220;For competitors, these tires offer an attractive solution from a competitive perspective as the Korean manufacturer has been the exclusive tire partner of the FIA World Rally Championship since 2025.</p>

The tires have been developed to &#8220;harness the capabilities&#8221; of a car that differs significantly from previous Continental GT models, boasting rear-wheel drive for the first time in the series, a kerb weight of less than two metric tons, and a 666hp, 800Nm twin-turbocharged V8 powertrain.</p>
<p>Pirelli’s collaboration with Bentley on the Supersports began with what the tire maker describes as &#8220;the most demanding technical brief ever set for a road-going Continental GT&#8221;.</p>

It will continue to supply products to existing customers until December 31, 2027. Dunlop has developed, manufactured and supplied karting tires since 1976.</p>
<p>Karting is widely regarded as a foundation of motorsport. Dunlop’s products have supported a broad range of karting participants, from recreational drivers to young competitors progressing toward top-level categories. The company says its tires have contributed to the growth of karting and the development of future drivers.</p>
<p>Dunlop currently supplies tires homologated by the Commission Internationale de Karting-FIA (CIK-FIA), under the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), as well as tires accredited by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).</p>

The all-electric compact model will be fitted as standard with Continental’s EcoContact 7 summer tire, approved in the 17- and 18-inch sizes. Volkswagen also recommends the 18-inch versions of the AllSeasonContact 2 and the WinterContact TS 870 P.</p>
<p>According to the tire maker, the EcoContact 7 is an efficient summer tire designed for low rolling resistance and high mileage. A special combination of materials in the tire’s construction reduces internal friction, thereby lowering rolling resistance. This reduces the vehicle’s energy consumption and improves efficiency. Another feature is the Aerodimple structure in the tire sidewall.</p>

This new system reportedly accelerates and enhances tire development by providing rapid and accurate access to technical information necessary for decision-making during the tire development process, including material development.</p>
<p>Yokohama Rubber developed this new system to expand the practical environment of its proprietary HAICoLab AI utilization framework, which was established in October 2020. The company has previously developed AI systems that predict a rubber compound’s physical properties and tire characteristics, generate new rubber compounds, and support mold design, and is increasingly using data to create material and tire designs.</p>

The concept tire highlights the potential of innovative material approaches. It also demonstrates the need for a reliable framework when adopting recycling technologies on an industrial scale.</p>
<p>Dr Andreas Topp, head of platform development and industrialization for passenger-car tires at Continental, said “Circular materials can help save resources and energy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. They are key to making mobility more sustainable.”</p>
<p>The two-year EU project, which will conclude in 2026, is aimed at optimizing the circular economy of electric vehicles along the entire value chain.</p>
