The system integrates Silicon Labs’ ultra-low-power BG22 Bluetooth LE SoC into BANF’s in-tire sensor platform, turning the tire into a connected intelligence node.</p>
<p>Traditional tire pressure monitoring systems alert drivers only when pressure drops significantly, offering limited insight into tire performance. BANF’s solution, by contrast, measures acceleration, pressure, temperature and tread depth at thousands of samples per second inside the tire. Key signals – such as wheel-nut loosening, slip events or reduced friction – are processed within the tire, reducing communication load and improving response time before sending alerts to the vehicle.</p>

It also marks an important step in Troester’s long-term strategy of developing autonomous production systems that enable fully integrated and low-labor manufacturing processes.</p>

<p>Goodyear’s TaaS combines premium truck tires, predictive analytics and a wide service network into one comprehensive subscription. This model is designed to help reduce the total cost of ownership, increase uptime and minimize emergency breakdowns.</p>
<p>Veolia will also benefit from Goodyear technology that automatically measures tread depth, enabling timely tire maintenance and enhancing safety and performance.</p>

<p>Cyber Tyre collects data and information from sensors in the inner part of the tire&#8217;s tread, processes the data with Pirelli’s proprietary software and algorithms, and communicates with the vehicle’s electronics to create functionalities integrated within the driving and control systems. Cyber Tyre, developed in collaboration with Bosch Engineering, will be fully integrated within the electronic architecture that governs the vehicle’s dynamics.</p>
<p>Pirelli Cyber Tyre technology gathers information from the tires sensors which is then transmitted to an electronic control unit to support the optimization of vehicle dynamics.</p>

However, this method cannot be used to determine whether a tire has appropriate air pressure.</p>
<p>To solve this problem, Yokohama is working with Metrika to develop an AI algorithm that can distinguish between the sounds created by tapping the tire and a variety of environmental sounds, determine when and how long the sound occurred (the sound interval), and estimate the tire’s air pressure based on the sound.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400">Beontag’s UHF embedded tag consists of a jointly design pod and antenna using state-of-the-art chips and materials, which enables complete traceability of all new tires, including manufacture date and storage location, distribution, installation and replacement, refurbishment and more, for the entire lifecycle of the tire.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">The partnership between Beontag and Michelin was established in 2019, when the two companies began collaborating on the brand-new, UHF RFID embedded tag from scratch.</p>
