Goodyear Dunlop: Country Buyer – IT and Traveling

Department: Procurement EMEA

Position title: Country Buyer – IT and Traveling
(Temporary – 18 months with possibility to extend – based in Lux)

Job responsibilities
 

  • Reports to the Share Service Center Responsible.
  • Sources and runs competitive bidding process for IT and Traveling tactical spends inline with EMEA Commodity strategy.
  • Identifies repetitive buys as candidates for frame contracts and/or catalogs and shares other sourcing ideas with EMEA Commodity Buyers.
  • Works with EMEA Commodity Buyers to validate country catalog content prior to implementation.
  • Directs country requisitions to frame contracts and/or catalogs where available.
  • Resolves local issues: availability of product/services and price mismatches on invoices through SAP SRM.
  • Identifies non added value processes or administrative work.
  • Delivers individual annual savings targets.
  • Establishes good working relationship with country functional stakeholders.

Education

 

  • The candidate must have (at least) a High School Diploma with specialization in Technical area or equivalent business experience.


Languages

 

  • The candidate must be fluent, both written and speaking, in English and in German.
  • Fluency in French will be considered as a strong asset.



Experience
 

  • A previous experience as a buyer is a must.
  • A previous working experience in an IT function is a must.



Profile
 

  • Demonstrated affinity with commercial issues - Good negotiation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 MM module is an asset.
  • Analytical and numerate.
  • Strong team player.
  • Proactive and stress-resistant.
  • Capable to work independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within established timeframe.
