Goodyear Dunlop: Technical Engineer – Regulations, Standards and Compliances

Goodyear Dunlop based in Luxembourg (Colmar-Berg) is currently looking for a team player with strong communication and analytical skills who is looking to join a dynamic business environment. Our Technical Engineer – Regulations, Standards and Compliances will have the following responsibilities and meet the following requirements:

Department: Government Compliance & Product Performance GIC*L
Position title: Technical Engineer – Regulations, Standards and Compliances

Part-time: 50%
Temporary – 6 months with possibility to extend


Job responsibilities

 

  • Homologation:

     - Issue homologation papers for European Tire type approvals. Archive certificates granted in our database.
     - Answer all queries related to tire homologation.

     
  • Analyze / improve IT systems:

    - Analyze and make recommendations to enhance current IT systems.
    - Participate to the development and implementation of the new homologation system supporting the additional type approval requirements.

     
  • Backup of Chief Engineer:

    - Get involved in all Regulatory and Standards related items.
    - Participate to “European Tire & Rim Technical Organization” meetings on required basis.


Education

  • The candidate must have (at least) a Technical Engineer Diploma with specialization in Technical and/or Sales & Marketing area.



Languages
 

  • The candidate must be fluent, both written and speaking, in English.
  • Other languages (Luxemburgish, French or German) are desired.



Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Good computer knowledge (Lotus Notes, MS Office, Internet).
