Goodyear uses Arctic Falls winter tire testing facility
Goodyear has been testing its truck tires over the winter at the upgraded Arctic Falls testing facility for truck tires at Plantskolan Proving Ground.
“We have used the ‘stop-and-go hill track’, the “flat ice track” and the “snow tracks” to test truck tires for winter climate”, said Thierry Demuth, manager of product evaluation and development at Goodyear.
Goodyear is pleased with the facilities at Arctic Falls. Demuth added, “At Arctic Falls, the tracks are of high quality. The facility has been well adapted for testing truck tires and the support service is excellent – if we need help with anything, the Arctic Falls personnel organize it immediately. The facility is streamlined for testing, and the short distance between service and tracks is a big advantage.”
Goodyear has already booked facilities for next year‘s testing.
